The “Big Boss” up there works in many mysterious, mind boggling, IQ baffling ways I tell ya.

One minute, you’re down in the dumps, not sure of where you are heading in life.

The next minute, you are the most enlightened person on earth & have a sense of purpose in life.

One minute you are in a constant state of worry about how your family would survive & what are they gonna eat should you lose your job.

The next minute, BAM! He hits you with a bonus & a “Retirement Payout” (though you are only in your 20s) & push you head 1st to another job that you might never have taken or even thought of taking coz’ you were just too comfy with the good ol’ job that you’ve been having for the past 3yrs that you just didn’t feel like venturing into another one.

Weird I tell ya.

But somehow, I manage to notice a pattern in how The Almighty works.

See, its wither one of this 2 ways.

1st, he would give you heart pain. Not heart attack lah!

Heart pain, as in constant worry, misery, sadness..etc.. You name it, he gives it.

Then after that, after all that torturous times, he gives you the most wonderful ray of sunlight in your life that you completely forgot the dark days prior to it.

And you also forget to thank him.

Or

He would give you all the happiness you can have. All the good things in life.

And the next second, he would rip it all out from under your nose you wouldn’t even see it coming.

Now The Mighty One is not trying to make you suffer. No.

He just wants you to remember Him again. Coz’ you almost forgot him completely while you were happy.

I’m not saying that it’s wrong & blasphemous of anyone to feel resentment or hate towards The Mighty One.

It’s quite common for many to feel that way because we have always thought of God as….. well, GOD.

He who can do anything. So why can’t he help you? Right?

But what we usually don’t realise is that He IS helping us.

We’ve just been too busy or pre-occupied to notice it.

We ignored Him.

So how can we blame him for giving us a little wake up call?!

(problem is of course, His “small” wake up calls & jolts are usually BIG for us puny humans on this earth. What to do, He is GOD you know. Colossal is his middle name. Complicated is what He is also known by.

But He has never failed to mesmerize me with his Glory & mysterious ways.

Now why the hell (pardon the pun) am I writting about all this? Well, just yesterday I received a very happy great news from a friend & I just got thinking.

See, this friend of mine had a very rough patch recently. No, nothing about all that stupid boyfriend/girlfriend break up or fighting shit. That is not something that should even be put in the same category as misery & tribulations. That is just plain drama.

Her’s has something to do with life & being the sole breadwinner in a family with a sickly father. A school going brother. And a very dominantly stubborn &, might I say, quite an egoistic mum.

She has been doing all she can to keep the family going & to cater to the needs of her demanding mum family. even to the point to selling off her precious tech toys that every geek would just die if they had to do what she does.

But she does it all for the family.

Even going without whatever she needs or want just so the family is not forgotten or in jeapordy.

And for all her trouble & pain, she is going to be blessed with an abundance of happiness come Dec.

(No, no Prince from oil producing country has fallen for her & is whisking her away to some country to live as a Princess. Dream On..)

Something good is happening in her life that I hope would lift her spirits from the inside & would put back that glow in her that has been missing for so long.

(now ket’s just hope she’ll get a great place to work in that’s untouched by the perils of office politics. *shudders*)

Yeap, God is great. (yeah, yeah, god is good. Yeah. Yeah.Yeah. Yeah. YEah. What if God was one of us?…lallalalalalalalala *sings song to self)

Sorry. I digressed abit there.

So, who wants to watch “Enchanted”????!??!?!?!

Hmmm, must start planning for karaoke nite out with the girls too. And shopping spree day too with Loos!!
