I have a friend call Loos. She’s the quirkiest friend I have. She has many hidden talents & hobbies that I shall pen a few of later. Truth be known, I think there are still many that I have not found out & that makes it very interesting for a kepoh creature like Meself. See, Loos & Me go waaaaaayyy back. We’ve known Us ever since our Pre-U days. She was in the same class as our batch since year 2. @ that point in time we were not close @ all. I only knew her as the “quiet stay back girl” (yes Loos, that was how I remembered you). She was almost always disappearing during lunch time, dunno where she hangs out. As quiet and peculiar as she was, I (like my typical try hard, oblivious self) tried hard to be nice and civil with her. Especially since at that time there was lotsa news & occurrences in the US about how the quiet kids and misfits in school would suddenly take a gun & start shooting people dead in school who have been known to be mean to em’ (didn’t want to take my chances with that quiet girl even though she mite look non-violent you see.. ) But I do remember thinking she was weird (dulu lah! ) like she was always very suspicious & wary about me. Plus she was never really into mixing with the rest of us which I can’t really blame her for we were both from different batches.
In fact I totally forgot about her until after school. How did we ended up as good friends? Well It was during our usual (now defunct) group outings that we got to talking & found out more about each other. And as it turns out, Hey! We like to hang out with each other!
I found out that beneath that exterior of quietness is a girl who is always thinking. Always calculating (in a good way lah, not the Haji Bakhil type!). Always hesitant to give her opinions for fear of creating trouble for herself. I found out that just like me, the girl is also not sure of her self confidence.
Ask our friends what Loos is good for and they would certainly tell you one thing. COMPUTER STUFF! Loos harbours intentions of being a web/graphic designer person thingey (forgot what the hell they’re called lah!) She’s quite savvy with the web design and stuff that I sometimes call her Garcia (after that Tech Savvy girl in the story Criminal Minds) or Geek 1 (like Banana in Pajamas like that hehehe). Yeah, yours truly is Geek 2. Gawd..
My LooLoo is the sweetest girl anyone has ever met. Sweet, but a wee bit on the psycho side when it comes to having crushes. (:P) See, she likes men who are short and has muscles. And it would be better if they’re Chinese. Almost every week her crush target would change as she finds new & better preys to focus & dream about. Weird as it sounds, it is these ‘psycho’ side of her that makes her all the more interesting as a friend.
She is absolutely devoted to her family. She is one girl I know who is willing to go without just so her family has enough to get by. (Now isn’t THAT ciri-ciri potential wife yang harus dicari???!! Not those minahs in heavy make-up and revealing clothings you idiotic Men!! Bodoh..)
Loos is one girl I know who is known to be all quiet, gentle and peace loving but listens to music and loves band like Muse, Linkin Park and that other heavy metal sounding bands that I forgot whats-it-called.. Heck, she just went to the Muse concert on Tues!! Rock giler punya pompuan..!
Yups, very dimensional she is that she never confuses you but she does confound you sometimes.. hehe. Truth is, it is these same quirks that adds dimensions to her personality & makes her such an interesting companion. You’d be surprised @ the things that she quips sometimes that it would have you in stitches!
Loos is always ever prudent. Never have I ever see her spend anything over 20bucks on any clothing article. Heck, she even does that irritating “tsk tsk” sound every time she sees an exorbitantly priced clothing item and she would try her best to be very diplomatic and nice in telling me that an item is not worth it coz’ it’s expensive. BUT, she does go crazy during Mango sales which also coincides with the yearly bonus period. BUT, when it comes to our little lunch or dinner meetings she does not mind that much to cross over the line & binge a bit (maybe coz’ she knows I’ll whack her to make her eat if she refuses)
Loos has just recently ‘opened’ (if I can call it that) an online accessories shop. It’s not totally public yet but the domain is called: simplylollipopz.blogspot.com (kalau aku tak salah ah..) She designs & makes accessories whenever she can or when she’s free & the end results she sells them online to make extra cash (smart eh?)
My Loos is also an avid and might I add, Interesting blogger. Forget about stupid, camwhoring, brainless, SPG called Xiaxue who writes nothing worth thinking about and is basically blogging to show off to the world what an idiot she is. My Loos blogs about her life with full honesty, wit and charm . Many of her writings are so thought provoking and funny that I’m sure once you read an entry you would come back for more. Seriously. There’s also one more thing that my dear sweet Loos is special for (and that I want to help her discover, which is one of the reason for this entry) ; She has never been on a date. Yes, My Loos is a Date Virgin. No, no! Don’t get me wrong, it’s not that no one looks her way, noooooooooo. Loos gets the looks from men everytime we go out , old Chi ko peks, banglas, apeks, gatal pakciks …hehehehehhehe, kidding lah.
Loos is just too shy and timid sometimes that it might cloud her judgment of guys sometimes that she might just tak nampak the nice guy in front of her who might be too timid himself or is just in awe of that awesomely sweet chick to come over and say hello in a civilized manner.
