I just found a poem worth remembering. It’s quite easy to remember considering the fact that it’s, a) Made into a song , & , b) It was sung by a few folks the recent one being a boyband (or should I call them ManBand coz’ they’re all old, married and gay.. )
It’s quite an uplifting poem worth remembering and sing to ones self especially when you’re feeling down & in the rut. I listenened to it over and over and over nearly a dozen times yesterday..
For the un-Literary folks in Layman’s terms it’s basically says that anyone and everyone benefits, grow, learn & thrive on Love no matter how cynical and non-believer you are about it. The metaphorical Rose in this poem/song refers to all of us. How we can be the Jaded sort, the Cynical, the Scared, the Unbeliever, the Pessimist. How we can be all these and more and if only we would only allow love to enter our life and not shut it out, we would find that it is actually more benefial rather than anything else.
The last line of the song is the most meaningful to me.
