Its A FRIDAY!!!!! And i survived a week alrdy at my new job! Woo hoo!! Whats my take on the job? Its GRRRRRRRRRREAT! (say it like Tony The Cornflakes tiger) OK,maybe i’ve not seen the bad side of my job yet but so far i’m lovin it! The job is so ON that there’s always something new to do every hour sometimes. I learn alot about how and what it takes to hold and prepare for an event and what paperworks are needed prior and after an event itself. My dept is the Sales dept but we are branched out into 2 diffrent focus. There’s the folks in chrge of Events and there’s those that are handling meetings, confrences, and tie-ins with Spore Tourism Board and event companies. Mine is the latter. It might be abit frustrating coz’ we would not be involved in handling events like Zoukout (soon to be held) and countdown parties and Foam parties and wedding solemnisations but, we liase more internationally & thus we managed more “expensieve” clients & bigwigs….. but then again, i still would rather prefer doing events!…
To make up for these unfortunate luck would be the fact that i work in the coolest island next to Spore and that the other workers around me are all young interns and young graduates. In fact, in my 1st week here i’ve already made friends with 2 wacky girls whose mindset and idiosyncracies matchs mine and who doesn’t mind (so far) my crazy bahaviour. (wait till they see the real me!..:P) The workspace here is ALL messy and chaotic. I guess it just reflects how fun everything is.
I am an admin support for one of the sales executive here named Jasmine and she’s kinda ok but abit…..well…not that okay sometimes.. BUT, from what i hear, our manager is a funny, bitchy horny man freak who’s nice but still, horny. From what i could gather during our gossip mongering lunches wth my collegues, he likes to make sexual innuendos and refrences and is abit the touchy feely kind. Not grouping and all that sexual harrassment thingey lah but just touchy feely and “manja” u noe.. He’s supposed to be very easy going and fun also. He’s only coming back next week so , …… Jen, jen jennnnn!!! By the way, he’s a vietnamese. At first i thght he’s name was Vernon but its actually Van On..
That’s all i can update so far about my new posting in the working world. So excited and happy am i abt it that i’ve decided to put up 2 pics of my pigsty of a workspace! hehehehe Tadaaaa!
